First Day Royal Roads 2020

Royal Roads Families!

We are so excited to have you returning to school! Teachers and Staff have been working around the clock to make it a safe and positive experience for all!

Just a few helpful reminders:

Monday and Tuesday: Students with last names that begin with A to L are to attend

Wednesday and Thursday: Students with the last names that begin with M to Z are to attend

Friday: ALL STUDENTS ARE IN SCHOOL

Following week, return to the regular schedule of full days Monday through Friday for all students in attendance.

First Day Procedures:

We are asking parents to wait in the grass areas of the yard when dropping off or picking up your child. Tarmac needs to remain clear at all times to allow teachers to walk their classes out to the zones to meet you.

Please look for our amazing staff wearing their Blue Raven Shirts to help identify what class your child is in. They will be circulating on the yard on those first few days.

Masks are required at all times. If it is raining, please come prepared with an umbrella!

Attached is a map to show the coloured zones

Loaned out Technology:

Students who are returning for Face to Face Learning at Royal Roads, are asked to return their devices the week of September 14-18th. Our students will need devices to use during the day in their classrooms. Thank you for your understanding.

Parking Lot

If you are dropping off your child, please drop them off at the back of the property on Princess Park Drive to avoid the congestion of our very busy parking lots.

If you are using the Parking lot Kiss and Ride program, students must be able to independently exit the vehicle from the passenger side. We anticipate no available parking spots in our lot for the year.

Mask Storage During Recess Times:

Students are free at recess to remove their masks. However, entering and exiting the building will require students to have their masks on. Therefore, students will be required to keep their masks on their person during recess times.

Here are some helpful ideas that you can use to help your child keep their mask and not lose them. Please keep in mind, if you are using a lanyard, it needs to have a breakable clasp. These are just a couple of examples, but not limited to.

We eagerly look forward to seeing our students return home to the Raven Family!

See you Soon!
